AVALINE School Calendar 2025/26

Avaline School follows the UK term system, with each academic year divided into three terms. The terms are named after renowned British figures from history, including military leaders, scientists, and author, in honour of the country's distinguished ancestors.。

Nelson Term （Autumn）Sep 2025  to Dec 2025

The Nelson Term is named after Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, a prominent British naval officer of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Nelson was renowned for his leadership and military strategy, leading the Royal Navy to victory in key battles such as the Battle of the Nile in 1798 and the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801. In 1805, he famously defeated the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Louis Term（Spring）Jan 2026 to April 2026

The Louis Term is named after Louis Braille, the inventor of Braille, the universally used tactile writing system for the blind and visually impaired. Braille consists of raised dots that can be read by touch, allowing individuals to read through the tactile sensation of the characters.

William Term（Summer）Apr 2026 to Aug 2026

The William Term is named after the great British playwright William Shakespeare. Shakespeare is widely regarded as the most outstanding dramatist in English literature and one of the greatest writers in Western literary history. His enduring works include 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and other poems. His plays have been translated into many major languages and are performed far more frequently than those of any other playwright.
